PEARL CITY RALLIES TO REMAIN UNBEATEN
Pearl City scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat Canada, 6-5, yesterday and remain unbeaten in the Little League Senior (ages 14-16) World Series at Bangor, Maine.
Kellen Ushijima hit an RBI single and pinch-hitter Nainoa Tampos drilled a two-run single to right with two outs to put Pearl City ahead 6-4 in the seventh.
Canada loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the seventh. Michael Labelle's RBI single made it 6-5, but Pearl City caught a runner off of third on the play for the second out. Reliever Jason Rasa then got Andrew Agombar, who had hit two RBI singles earlier in the game, to line out to first base.
Rasa got the save for Ryno Acosta, who got the final two outs in the sixth to quell a Canada rally.

KALANI FALLS ONE WIN SHORT OF WORLD SERIES
