TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Arrested Development" returns, 7 p.m., Fox. After weeks on the shelf, this clever series is finally back. Michael (Jason Bateman) finds his parents are not happy with his decision to marry Rita (guest star Charlize Theron).

"The Triangle," 7, 9 and 11 p.m., Sci-Fi Channel (continues tomorrow and Wednesday). Sci-Fi has done great work on its miniseries, including "Taken," "Battlestar Galactica" and two rounds of "Dune." This time, it tries to do too much, wrapping up the entire Bermuda Triangle mystery. Viewers should just sit back and try not to re-examine the plot details. Instead, enjoy a fun yarn. A shipping magnate (Sam Neill) has hired smart people — skeptics, mostly — to study the triangle. All of them (Eric Stoltz, Catherine Bell, Bruce Davison, Michael Rodgers) find jaw-dropping adventures. So does an environmental activist (Lou Diamond Phillips). "Triangle" has some compelling moments and some large plot holes.

OF NOTE

"Las Vegas," 7 and 8 p.m., NBC. Both episodes (the first a rerun) revolve around ownership of the casino; Dean Cain, as the estranged husband of Sam (Vanessa Marcil), plays a key role.

"Recipe for a Perfect Christmas," 7 p.m., Lifetime. A young restaurant critic (Carly Pope) is given to drab colors and quiet behavior. Then her mom (Christine Baranski) arrives. She's a dancer forever grabbing attention. That starts what could be a good holiday tale.

"Kitchen Confidential," 7:30 p.m., Fox. Two former "Alias" co-stars combine, as a competing chef (played by Michael Vartan) takes on Jack (Bradley Cooper) and his restaurant. The pranks escalate in intensity without getting particularly funny. Still, there are good moments from Mimi (Bonnie Somerville) as she swoons for the competition.

"How I Met Your Mother," 7:30, CBS. Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) has lots of bad ideas, but this rerun has one of his worst — take an unnecessary flight so he and Ted can flirt with some women on the way. The result is a funny episode.

"Two and a Half Men," 8 p.m., CBS. Here's a terrific rerun in a show that has been consistently entertaining. Alan, the responsible one, isn't feeling well and that puts his son under Charlie's shaky watch.

"Wanted," 8 and 9 p.m., TNT. This tough, taut series was impressive this summer. Now it has five new episodes this month, including two tonight. The first is brutal with the team secretly tracking a killer to Mexico. There are some strong moments and some unsettling ones.

"I Can't Believe I Wore That," 8 and 11 p.m., WE. The four-night series starts with the 1970s. The commentary is so-so and the narration is lame, but it's still fun to see the giant heels and glowing polyesters.

"Out of Practice," 8:30 p.m., CBS. Lydia wants to show that she has rebounded from her divorce so she throws a party. Naturally, everything goes wrong.

"CSI: Miami," 9 p.m., CBS. Poor Horatio can't even give confession in peace. There's a shooting in the church cemetery.
