Help our neighbors in need |

A.T. and her 8-year-old daughter have been on their own for several years, with no family members willing to help them.
This single mother has mental health issues. The father of her daughter has provided no help or support.
A.T., 36, recently found a full-time job and she and her daughter live in government-assisted housing in Kailua.
A.T. has been receiving counseling for her mental health problems, but the problems have created emotional issues at home.
Despite the economic and emotional challenges A.T.'s daughter has had to face, she continues to be an excellent student. The family's caseworker said the girl shows great compassion for others. Even though she doesn't have as much as other children, she always wants to help.
A.T.'s daughter often provides her mother with care and support during difficult times, said the caseworker.
Because, as a family, A.T. and her daughter are just beginning to get back on their feet, they need basic household necessities, including bed sheets and towels.
A.T.'s daughter is hoping Santa will bring her clothes this Christmas. She would also like a dresser. A.T. also needs clothes she can wear to work.
Our anonymous Santa will match the first $25 of each donation to the Christmas Fund.
Christmas Fund donations are used for families who need help through the holidays. Any money remaining after the holidays will be used to help those in need throughout the year.
