TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"The Simpsons," 7 p.m., Fox. It's a bonus night for fans of animation, with three shows on Fox. That starts with this rerun in which Homer becomes a hero. He soon tries a Schwarzenegger-style move. With the mayor facing recall, Homer is one of many candidates to replace him.
OF NOTE
"Ghost Whisperer," 7 p.m., CBS. Melinda meets the ghosts of three boys.
"Deliver Us From Eva" (2003), 7 p.m., WB. Eva (Gabrielle Union) is so hard on her sisters' husbands that they decide to distract her. They hire Ray — played by LL Cool J, here billed as James Todd Smith — to date her. Complications develop, in a comedy that lets the WB's regular Friday comedies rest.
"Popeye's Voyage: The Quest for Pappy," 7:30 p.m., Fox. Here is a rerun of last year's animated special, bringing back the spinach-loving sailor man.
"Close to Home," 8 p.m., CBS. Annabeth hopes to convict a suburban madam without exposing the women — middle-class wives and mothers, mostly — she employed.
"Hope & Faith," 8 p.m., ABC. It's kind of dangerous for kids to claim they have a death in the family. In this rerun, that sparks the rumor that Faith (Kelly Ripa), a former soap star, has died.
"Hot Properties," 8:30 p.m., ABC. Lola hosts a Day of Forgiveness gathering — then learns people would rather grumble.
"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. A bank robber has been killed before she can reveal where her hostages are held. Now Charlie must try to figure it out.
"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 9 p.m., NBC. If you're keeping track, this is the third "Criminal Intent" rerun on NBC in six days. This time, a restaurant critic has been killed and a promising young chef has disappeared.
