Ching expected for soccer camp

Hale'iwa native Brian Ching, a Major League Soccer All-Star for the San Jose Earthquakes and member of the U.S. Men's National Team, highlights the eighth annual ProXtreme Holiday Soccer Camp, Dec. 26 to 29, at Wai'alae Iki park.

Ching is a Kamehameha graduate and the 1996 Interscholastic League of Honolulu Player of the Year.

A FEW MORE OPENINGS FOR HALE'IWA RACE

A limited number of late spaces are available for the Bikefactory Hale'iwa Triathlon scheduled for Oct. 30.

The 400-yard swim, 12-mile bike and 3-mile run starts at 6:15 a.m. at Hale'iwa Beach Park.

Late entry fee is $80. Team fee is $115.

50TH STATE OFFICIALS LOOKING FOR NEW REFS

Any individuals with basketball officiating experience who are interested in officiating games in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu, youth and business leagues should attend a meeting today.

The 50th State Basketball Officials' Association will conduct the meeting at 6:30 p.m. at a private residence.
