In his third varsity season, Leilehua's Lawrence Villafania raised his game to another level, helping the Mules (9-2) win a share of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's Western Division championship.

For his efforts, he was named OIA Division I West Player of the Year after a vote of league coaches.

Villafania, a 5-foot-11 junior setter/outside hitter, is joined on the West's all-star first team by senior teammate Joziah Estavillo.

Pearl City led the way with three first-team selections: seniors Jovi Casares and Reid Nebrija and sophomore Donavan Nieves. Nebrija was selected as a setter.

Radford senior Ryan Mar, Campbell senior Jordan Furukawa and Mililani junior Matthew Cheape round out the first team.

Cheape was selected as a libero for the third straight season. He was the only repeat selection.

Pearl City's Bryson Martin was named Coach of the Year after the Chargers (9-2) earned a share of the West crown.
