WOMAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES

A 29-year-old Makakilo woman who crashed a stolen Nissan pickup truck into a retaining wall of a Lalawai Drive home in Halawa early Monday morning was charged yesterday with multiple felony offenses including possession of stolen identification cards.

Angela C. Higa was being held in lieu of $40,000 aggregate bail on charges of auto theft, driving without a license and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.

In a warrant search of the stolen truck, police recovered identification cards belonging to four different people and stolen personal checks. Police also recovered stolen identification cards of recent visitors that will likely result in further felony charges against Higa.

Higa was also wanted on outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
