TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Ugly Betty," 7 p.m., ABC. This is the ideal day to catch up on this amiable (but erratic) show. Betty (America Ferrera) is a cute, smart young woman, surrounded by sleeker people at a fashion magazine. She reviews a fancy hotel in the first rerun, organizes a quick celebrity shoot in the second, ponders two boyfriends in the third. All three also trace the growing fascination that Betty's boss Daniel has for the glamorous Sofia. She's played by Salma Hayek, one of the "Ugly Betty" producers.

OF NOTE

Football, all day, ESPN. It's a bowl tripleheader with the Meineke Car Care Bowl (Boston and Navy) at 8 a.m., the Alamo Bowl (Iowa and Texas) at 11:30 and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (Georgia and Virginia Tech) at 3 p.m. It sounds fine, except we'll keep wondering how the chick will fill the bowl.

"Clueless" (1995, 5 p.m.) and "Back to the Future" (1985, 7 p.m.), Bravo. Two slick, fun films rerun. The first pokes fun at well-meaning but vacant teens; the second mixes some laughs in with a time-travel adventure.

"Top Chef," 7 p.m., NBC. Here's a rerun from the reality show on Bravo, NBC's sister channel. In this hour, the contestants must prepare food without any of the fancy modern gadgets.

"CSI: NY," 7 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, a teen model dies on the runway. Also, a man confesses to killing his doctor but people are reluctant to believe him.

"Without a Trace," 8 p.m., CBS. In a rerun, a former Marine - imprisoned for five years for rape - is in a line-up for another rape. Then he disappears.

"Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. Sadistic home invaders strike the family of a police informant, then endangers officials. To nab them, McCoy takes a risk.

"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Matthew Fox of "Lost" hosts with Tenacious D (which includes actor Jack Black) as the music guest.
