Dorothy Aach of Hawai'i Kai traveled to Peru with her sister in December. They took a minibus on a winding route up the mountain 2,000 feet to Machu Picchu, where they enjoyed the view with a llama. "The city is an awesome sight, perched high upon a rock between sharp mountain peaks," Aach said.
