World War II member of Army Military Intelligence Service; Japanese Liaison Office, Tokyo warrant officer; Japanese Defense Agency, U.S. Department of the Army civilian employee; retired civil service employee; recipient of the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, Golden Rays with Neck Ribbon. Survived by wife, Shizu; sisters, Bernice Hashimoto and Janice Okudara; brothers, David, Roy and Roichi. Service 10:30 a.m. March 3 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.

ANNA MAGDALENE ALTHOF, 86, of Honolulu, died July 20, 2005. Born in Bonn, Germany. An avid swimmer, traveler and singer.
