TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Monk," 9 p.m., USA. Adrian Monk has faced endless obstacles, but this one is extreme: When chemicals are tossed in his face, he's blinded, at least temporarily. Still, he pushes ahead with a murder investigation in the Monk tradition.
OF NOTE
"Save the Last Dance" (2001), 5 and 7 p.m., TNT. Here is a film that subtly looks at racial differences. Thomas Carter beautifully directed a story that sends a ballerina (Julia Stiles) to an inner-city high school where she dances with a hip-hop guy (Sean Patrick Thomas).
"Apollo 13" (1995), 5 and 8 p.m., Bravo. Ron Howard did his usual terrific job directing this film, which was nominated for an Academy Award for best picture. Tom Hanks stars as commander of the space mission that almost didn't make it back. Ed Harris and Kevin Bacon lead a strong supporting cast.
"Psych," 10 p.m., USA. Shawn is supposed to use his psychic powers to communicate with a dead man and help the man's widow find the money. This won't be easy, since Shawn doesn't have any real psychic powers.
