TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Master of Champions," 7 p.m., ABC. When was the last time you saw contortionist archery? Or acrobats who create human fireworks? Or stunt drivers who use their cars to grate a giant wheel of cheese? All of that — plus freestyle unicyclists — is scheduled to be included in this show's first hour. The judges include former baseball star Steve Garvey, plus two winners of Olympic gold medals — skater Oksana Baiul and skier Johnny Moseley. That's assuming there's a good way to judge contortionist archery.
OF NOTE
"Gameshow Marathon," 7 p.m., CBS. Tonight features "Match Game," which is actually a pretty good one for gamesmanship.
"My Name is Earl," 7 and 8 p.m., NBC. The first rerun is terrific, with Earl trying to make up for never paying taxes. The government isn't interested, so he hatches alternate ways to give the money back. The second episode has him trying to make up for the fact that he inadvertently made a kid afraid of the boogeyman.
"The Office," 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., NBC. In the first rerun, Michael is trying to close the deal for his condo. With the boss away, Jim organizes office Olympics. In the second, a cruise leads to some funny moments — but will Jim confess his feelings to Pam?
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. A psychic is killed shortly after saying she has dire news. This may be linked to a previous case in which a policeman's wife disappeared.
"A Lion in the House" conclusion, 9 p.m., PBS. In the first half of this moving (and painful) Independent Lens documentary, we met three young cancer victims and their families. Tonight, their stories continue and two more children are added in this documentary.
"Windfall," 9 p.m., NBC. When Zoe — the straight-arrow lawyer — disappears, Sean suspects foul play. Meanwhile, Damien is having trouble living alone after his parents throw him out.
"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. A respected paramedic vanishes.
