  • LANCE KAWANO has been named vice president of the Personal Lines Division of locally owned Atlas Insurance Agency Inc. The more than 15-year veteran of the finance industry most recently was operations manager, Personal Lines, at First Insurance Co. of Hawai'i. He also has served as vice president of Kinsman Capital LLC, San Diego, Calif., and as associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group and Corporate Finance Group of Prudential Securities in New York City.

  • Aloha Festivals kicked off its 60th anniversary year with the induction of a new president, Mark Polivka, and five board appoint-ments: CHARLES AU, of Erwin, Cabrinha & Au LLP; ANN BOTTICELLI, vice president, community relations and communication, The Kamehameha Schools; JEFF DAVIS, administrative manger, Pacific LightNet Communications; ROBERT FROST, advertising manager, First Hawaiian Bank; and DENISE M. HAYASHI, director, community relations, Norwegian Cruise Lines America.

  • The Queen Lili'uokalani Trust has named MICHAEL R. WALSH and LEEANN E. P. CRABBE vice presidents. Walsh, formerly executive vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer of The Queen Emma Foundation, will oversee financial functions, as well as leasing activities for the trust's commercial and residential properties. Crabbe will oversee all development activities on the trust's lands — some 3,500 acres at Keahuolu, adjacent to Kailua, Kona; and about 2,800 acres at Honohina, on the Hamakua Coast. Crabbe was formerly financial officer for the trust, and before that, director for budget and financial planning for The Kamehameha Schools. The Queen Lili'uokalani Trust was established by the queen in 1909 for the benefit of orphaned and destitute children, with preference to those of Hawaiian blood. It operates Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Centers statewide.

  • The Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau has appointed JEFF HAHN regional director of accounts for its Corporate Meetings and Incentives Division. He will be mainly responsible for "selling" Hawai'i as a business meetings destination to the lucrative national and international associations based in the Washington, D.C. area. Hahn most recently directed association and corporate sales for Hilton resort properties in the Tampa and St. Petersburg, Fla., markets.

  • Aloha Street, the Hawai'i destination Web site and local magazine for the Japanese tourist market (www.aloha-street.com and Aloha Street Magazine), has added three , members to its customer relations' team: TAKAMI MAEDA and AI CHUNG, both customer relations managers, and TATSU G. SASAKI.

  • TEDDI ANDERSON has been named president of Honolulu-based marketing and public relations firm The Limtiaco Co., while former president RUTH LIMTIACO takes on the title of chief executive officer, with a focus on business-building and long-range strategic planning. Also promoted in the firm were Gina Baurile, to account executive; and BRANDI WATANABE and CYBELE STEVENS, both to assistant account executives.

  • KAROLLE "JOSIE" T. BIDGOOD has been hired as vice president and senior real estate officer for the Trust and Real Estate Group at Bank of Hawai'i. Prior to rejoining the bank, she was property manager for Healthcare Realty and a corporate real estate manager at CB Richard Ellis and Bank of Hawai'i. Also, DIANA D. FUJIMORI has been promoted from auditor to vice president and process improvement manager in the bank's Private Client Services, Trust Administration.

  • alii fujii has been named director of information technology for Star Markets. He was previously network manager for Bingham McCutchen LLP in San Francisco.

  • The Royal Hawaiian Hotel has promoted hotel concierge WENDY NAGAISHI to guest services manager.
