New Hope Christian Fellowship's prison ministry and Angel Tree program are seeking children whose parents are in prison to take part in a free carnival.

Easter Carnival in the Park, which includes a carnival with games, rides, food, entertainment and give-aways, will be at 3 p.m. April 15 at Sand Island State Park. All events are free for children of those incarcerated; others are invited to attend, but there will be a charge for food.

AUTHOR/PASTOR AT CENTRAL UNION

Tony Campolo, internationally recognized pastor and author, will preach at tomorrow's 9 a.m. worship service in the main sanctuary at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St.

Campolo, author of 32 books, also founded Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education. He's in Hawai'i as a speaker for the Hawaiian Islands Ministries convention.

Campolo will also lead the Learning Tree forum in the Women's Building, immediately after the service.

FILM SHOWN AS PART OF EARTH DAY

A free screening of "Rivers and Tides: Working with Time" will be at 7 p.m. April 13 in the Ching Conference Center on the second floor of Eiben Hall at the Chaminade University campus as part of Earth Day celebrations.

The screening is being sponsored by the Hawai'i Association of International Buddhists, and the movie focuses on Andy Goldsworthy illustrating Buddhist principles. Chaminade professor Yukio Ozaki, a ceramist who has been designated a Living Treasure by the Honpa Hongwanji Mission, will lead a discussion after the film.
