Ian Desmond hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to lift the Waikiki BeachBoys to a 3-1 victory over the West Oahu CaneFires last night in a Hawaii Winter Baseball contest at Hans L'Orange Park.

Duke Sardinha, a Kamehameha Schools alum who went 1 for 3 with an RBI, drew a one-out walk in the ninth and was brought home by Desmond.

Joe Woerman (3-0) got the win in relief for Waikiki, throwing three innings of no-hit ball.
