The Aqua Waikiki Wave, formerly Coral Reef Hotel, offers "Get Acquainted" rates of $109 to $174 through Nov. 30. The 247-room property includes double queen beds in all rooms, flat-screen televisions, DVD players, free wireless Internet and mini-kitchens. Rates include continental breakfast. wild blue yonder: Blue Sea Cruises has launched Spirit of Kona, a twin-hull vessel designed for viewing sea life. The vessel carries 149 passengers and offers deck-top viewing and two large, glass-bottom viewing wells. budget traveL: A new travel magazine for travelers hits the stands this month. Sherman's Travel, an offshoot of ShermansTravel.com, targets 35- to 54-year-olds with travel deals and destination advice for "the sophisticated valueconscious traveler."

The first issue features articles on Maui, Romania and Timbuktu, Mali.

Included in the magazine's regular features will be Sherman's Travel collection of spotlight destinations packages, with high-end travel deals and for those ready to go at any time, Best Deals of the Week and Best Deals of the Moment. A Price Points comparison focuses on three similar vacations at various rates; the first issue spotlights European river cruises.

see the light: Lighthouse fans get a bird's-eye view of four historic lighthouses along the Mendocino coast in California. Coast Flyers, at the Little River Airport near Mendocino, offers flyovers of the Point Arena, Point Cabrillo, Punta Gorda and Cape Mendocino lighthouses.
