Alumni from Wai'anae High's award-winning media program, Searider Productions, have started their own production company that gives back to the Wai'anae Coast community.

Makaha Studios LLC is a new social enterprise that offers professional production and design services.

A significant portion of the company's net income will fund internships and media education programs for Wai'anae Coast youth.

An open house and blessing will take place at 3 p.m. April 25 at its office in Makaha Marketplace.
