TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. This is the year in which people realize what a remarkable talent Jeremy Piven is. There's the Emmy Award for his wondrous work as Ari, the scheming agent on HBO's "Entourage." (That show starts its season Sunday, with Ari near a meltdown.) And there's his turn hosting "Saturday Night Live." That reruns today, with AFI as musical guest.

"The Ten Commandments" (1956), 6 p.m., ABC; or "The Sound of Music" (1965), 7 p.m., ABC Family. Two epics collide, on Easter weekend. One is the Cecil B. DeMille version of "Ten Commandments," with Charlton Heston as Moses. We found it a bit stiff, but many people love it. Then there's "Sound of Music," with soaring songs, lovely scenery, so-so story and Julie Andrews. It made its cable debut Friday and also airs Sunday.

OF NOTE

"Love's Unending Legacy," 6 and 7:40 p.m., Hallmark Channel. Here's the fifth film in the series based on Janette Oke's novels about generations of a frontier family. Erin Cottrell, the third actress in the role, is playing Missie for her third time. Missie is a young widow now, returned to her dad's ranch. She's raising her own son plus an orphan, while seeking a new life.

"Adventures in Doggie Daycare" debut, 6:30 p.m., WE. This eight-week reality series follows life at the Downtown Dog Lounge. There are likable workers and cute dogs, plus owners who spend as much as $10,000 a year on various services.

"NCIS," 7 p.m., CBS. A military transport vehicle explodes. Officials suspect it was no accident and involved the Marine who was being transported.

"Without a Trace," 8 p.m., CBS. A 911 operator is missing. Police suspect a man who felt the response to his wife's emergency was too slow.

"Law & Order," 8 p.m., NBC. After a man is killed, a secret is revealed about his soap-star wife and their adopted baby. The star is played by Jennifer Beals ("Flashdance") and her nanny is played by Anna Chlumsky, the former child star of "My Girl."

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 9 p.m., NBC. This is making things way too real: During a re-enactment of the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, one of the men is killed. Suspicion turns to the shooter, whose wife is a mayoral candidate.
