Hawaiian Air flights 91% full

Hawaiian Airlines said its airplanes were 91 percent full in March, up from 87.5 percent the same month a year earlier.
The airline served 609,812 passengers during March, up 18.6 percent from a year earlier, according to a filing with the U.S. Department of Transportation. It also recorded 690 million revenue passenger miles in March, up 21.5 percent from a year earlier. Available seat miles totaled 758 million for the month, up 16.8 percent from the previous year.
A&B FORMS NEW LOGISTICS FIRM
Alexander & Baldwin Inc. yesterday announced the formation of a new subsidiary, Matson Global Distribution Services, to expand its logistics services to include warehousing and distribution and freight-forwarding services.
The new unit will be headed by 26-year industry veteran Brian Howver, formerly of NFI Industries. Howver will report directly to Matson Integrated Logistics President Robert Papworth and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business.
HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM FUNDED
A grant that helps provide funding for a Hawai'i health insurance advisory program has been increased by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The agency said it has increased funding for Hawai'i's Sage PLUS program to $197,620 this year from $189,427 last year.
The Sage PLUS provides health insurance information counseling and referrals to people 60 years or older, their families and caregivers.
