In a move that further blurs the lines between entertainment and fashion, Dig Lifestyles has just opened in Ward Warehouse. The hip-hop inspired boutique was formerly on Ke'eau-moku Street.

Chris Nakano, co-owner of Dig Lifestyles, is well known throughout Honolulu as a promoter of hip-hop shows by artists such as The Roots, Erykah Badu, Common, Method Man and Talib Kweli.

The grand opening from 5:30 to 10 p.m. tomorrow will feature DJs, light pupu and drinks.

LILY LOTUS TRUNK SHOW

Yoga wear, casual sportswear, jewelry and art will be sold for one day only as four friends join together for a trunk show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Coffee Talk in Kaimuki.

Designer Laurie Momi Chee of Lily Lotus and sales representative Flora Tobby of XCVI Wearables will share the space with jewelry by Allison KimCzerniak of Alliway and cards from the original paintings of Miu Kahalehau of MiuArtworks. Information: 391-2774.

UH FASHION SHOW

The creative talents of seven senior designers and eight junior designers will be showcased at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's fashion show, "Centennial 7: Celebrating 100 Years of Fashion." Every aspect of the show is handled by students in the Apparel Product Design and Merchandising program, from clothes to production and promotion.

While the show often sells out, this year they have expanded to twice the space so more tickets are available. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. on April 22, at the Sheraton Waikiki hotel's Molokai Ballroom. Tickets are $35 and include lunch. Call 956-2244 or e-mail uhmfashionshow@yahoo.com.

ECO-FASHION SHOW

Aveda Salon & Spa and Betsey Johnson boutique are pairing up for a "Fashion Show for the Earth" from 7 to 9 p.m. April 24 at Pearl Ultralounge in Ala Moana Center. The event will include fashions by Betsey Johnson, hair and makeup by Aveda stylists, drink and pupu specials by Pearl, as well as mini-spa services, goody bags and door prizes.

Tickets in advance are $10 at Aveda Salon & Spa, or $15 at the door. The event is a benefit for the Hawai'i Nature Center and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the charity. Information: 947-6141.

ALOHA TOWER OPENING

Island Style Attitudes, a boutique featuring contemporary casual fashions, opened Monday in Aloha Tower Marketplace, on the second floor at the top of the mauka escalators. Among the brands featured are Army Pink, Dollhouse, Skinny Minnie, Vanilla Sugar, Gypsy Daisy and Luau. D'Core, an L.A.-based designer brand, made its Hawai'i debut in the boutique.

Owner Kevin Chung said his focus is on "Hot, happening brands seen in fashion magazines nationally and internationally."
