The 'Aiea Public Library is scheduled to end its Passport Application Acceptance Service on April 28 and has stopped accepting appointments.

Library officials said an overwhelming number of passport service requests this year has hurt the staff's ability to provide core library services.

Switching to an appointment-only basis didn't help, the library said.
