Applications are being accepted for this year's Windward Half Marathon on Sept. 9.

Last year more than 300 runners and walkers participated in the event, which benefits the Boys & Girls Club Windward Clubhouse.

In addition to the Half Marathon, this year's event also features a five-kilometer race, a one-mile keiki race and a 100-yard dash for children 3 to 5. All events will start at Kailua Intermediate School.
