BUSINESS BRIEFS
Firm gets 2nd Nasdaq notice

Advertiser Staff and News Services

Cyanotech Corp., the Kona-based microalgae company facing a possible delisting of its shares by the Nasdaq Stock Market, said it had received a second notice of noncompliance with market rules.

Last week, Nasdaq said the company wasn't in compliance with requirements for continued listing because it had failed to file a report detailing its quarterly results, the company reported.

The notification was similar to one Cyanotech received in July that said it was a candidate for delisting because there was no filing for the fiscal year ending March 31.

OCEAN CLUB CLOSING DOWN

Ocean Club, a staple at Restaurant Row for the past 10 years, will close Sept. 2.

Mel Holi, general manager of the club, said negotiations are under way with two other properties about possible relocation. "Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Restaurant Row; however, we are still on track to reinvent the Honolulu night life scene in 2008," he said in a statement.

Ocean Club has been one of the premier Honolulu nightclubs and "one of the top 100 in the United States, and for that we are truly grateful," said Holi.
