This is a time to reflect and share the grief that these families are going through. Our community, military and civilian, should come together and show their support to these young men and women in the military and their families, by saying "I am here for you." They totally deserve the respect for giving up their lives for us to experience the freedom we have today.

I wish there were words that could comfort the families of the fallen soldiers, but I'm afraid there are not. My deepest condolences to the families of these brave men who gave their lives for their country. For those who are from other states, the people from Hawai'i feel as though we have lost our own as well.
