The Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono will host a "Lei of Aloha" open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 8 as a fundraiser for Hokulani Holt's halau hula Pa'u o Hi'iaka.

The event also celebrates the 10th anniversary of the historic inn, operated by Janice and Tom Fairbanks. The Waiehu Sons and halau hula members will perform, and there will be lei-making, lauhala weaving, and quilting demonstrations. Lei, hand-woven lauhala ornaments, decorated table-top trees, jewelry and home-baked holiday goodies will be sold. Light snacks, lemonade, iced tea and desserts will be served.

Tickets are $15 in advance by phoning the Old Wailuku Inn at 244-5897, or $20 at the door.

The Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono is at 2199 Kaho'okele St., across from Wailuku Elementary School.
