Radiators heat up Islands' music scene

As The Radiators make their way to Honolulu in the middle of a four-island tour to celebrate the Mardi Gras season, the spicy-hot question music fans might have in mind is: What the heck is Fish Head music?
The answer, according to the band's Web site (http://theradiators.org) is this: A tasty bouillabaisse of blues, R&B, jazz, country, Zydeco, soul, swing, gospel that stew into its own brand of New Orleans rock 'n' roll.
The next question is: Who are these guys?
The band — Ed Volker, Frank Bua, Camille Baudoin, Dave Ma-lone and Reggie Scanlan — formed in 1978 and are famous in New Orleans. They have about a dozen albums, the latest "Dreaming Out Loud," and are especially renowned for their live shows. Veteran touring artists, they also have backed legends including Dr. John and Professor Longhair and appeared with the Allman Brothers, B.B. King, Robert Cray, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal and many others.
