A field of 25 golf pros, including Kevin Hayashi, Dave Eichelberger, Andrew Feldmann, Regan Lee, Kevin Carll and Beau Yokomoto, have committed to play in the first stop on the University of Hawai'i Scholarship Pro-Am Series, Feb. 2 at Hawai'i Prince Golf Club.

The Aloha Section PGA Foundation and Castle Resorts sponsor the series to provide a $50,000 four-year scholarship for a Hawai'i high school senior in a junior golf program.

Amateurs with current USGA GHIN handicaps interested in joining a professional in the benefit can call Feldmann (595-3256) or the Aloha Section PGA office (593-2230). Entry fee for amateurs is $110 for the one-net, one-gross best-ball team format.

Dates for the other three pro-ams in the series: April 27 (Pearl Country Club), Aug. 31 (Turtle Bay Resort) and Nov. 30 (Makaha Golf Club).

ALOHA SECTION PLATES

The Aloha Section PGA Foundation is selling custom license plates to help support its programs. Those interested can apply at any satellite City Hall or by mail. Cost of the plate is $30.50, with $20 going to the foundation for its work in instructional programs, community outreach, research and education, and scholarships.
