Doctors speak as missionaries

Two medical missionaries, Drs. Tim and Holly Nelson, will discuss their work in Cameroon at Calvary by the Sea Lutheran Church.

Tim Nelson, a surgeon, will preach at the 7:30 and 10 a.m. services tomorrow. Holly Nelson, a pediatrician, will present a video with a question-and-answer period after each service, at 8:30 and 11:15 a.m.

CATHEDRAL HOLDS NOON EUCHARIST

St. Andrew's Cathedral will hold a new weekly Wednesday eucharist at 12:05 p.m. in the cathedral, late enough to allow downtown denizens to walk from work, followed at 12:30 p.m. by an organ recital. John Renke, the cathedral's organist, will perform.

INTERFAITH OPEN TABLE AT TEMPLE

Michael Saso will discuss "Round Table for World Peace" and the Rev. Dan Hatch and Jade Young will talk about "Beyond Hate" at next week's Interfaith Open Table.

The interfaith group meets at 7 a.m. the first Wednesday of the month, which falls next on June 6, at Temple Emanu-el, 2550 Pali Highway.

Saso researches religion in China. Hatch and Young will discuss the recent Human Rights Campaign in Washington, D.C.

FREE CONCERT AT ST. ANDREW'S

Chelsea Chen will appear in a free concert at 7:30 p.m. June 15 at St. Andrew's Cathedral.

Chen, an organist and graduate of the Juilliard School, is a former student of Paul Jacobs. She is finishing a Fulbright year in Taiwan. She'll be joined by Melody Lindsay, a 15-year-old Honolulu harpist.

Chen will also play a 7:30 p.m. recital June 19 at Makawao Union Church on Maui.
