More than 150 volunteers will participate Saturday in a three-home Wai'anae Build-A-Thon hosted by Habitat for Humanity, Leeward O'ahu.

The volunteers, representing scores of community organizations and businesses, will be building the homes for low-income families making 50 percent or less than the area's median income.

Families put in "sweat equity" toward owning their own home by first working on others' Habitat homes.
