TODAY'S MUST-SEE

Basketball, all day, CBS, ESPN and ESPN2. The 65-team NCAA men's tournament is down to 32, and half of them will be gone by the end of the weekend. CBS starts a triple-header today; games vary by region. The first starts at 7 a.m. Meanwhile, the women's tournament has started on ESPN2; today's games start at 6 a.m. And if you can't wait that long, ESPN starts an NIT game at 5.

OF NOTE

"Titanic" (1997), 4 p.m., TBS. On the off chance that you haven't seen this Oscar-winner, settle in and catch it now. Writer-director James Cameron has juggled beautifully. He has an epic film with an intimate relationship (beautifully acted by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet) at its core; he also has a real-life tragedy with a sort of happy ending.

"Take the Lead" (2006), 5 p.m., HBO. On one level, this story seems to lack credibility, as an outsider (Antonio Banderas) tames tough New York teens through ballroom dance. Still, it's based loosely on a true story; the dancing itself is elegant and sensual.

"Liar, Liar" (1997, 7 p.m.) and "Bruce Almighty" (2003, 9 p.m.), USA Network. Left on his own, Jim Carrey tends to be ... well, too Jim Carrey. But given a plot and a good script, he can be excellent; that happens in both of these films. In the first, he's a lawyer who, for one day, is cursed with blurting out the truth. In the second, God (Morgan Freeman, of course) has him temporarily answering all requests.

"Celebrity A-list Bloopers," 7 p.m., ABC. John O'Hurley introduces clips of Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson, Eddie Murphy, Goldie Hawn, Will Smith and more.

"Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde" (2003), 8 p.m., ABC. This sequel sends Reese Witherspoon to Washington, D.C., where she pushes for animal rights.

"Law & Order," 8 p.m., NBC. A convicted killer escapes and kills two more people. Desperate for a solution, McCoy pushes for the death penalty.

"The Luck of the Irish" (2001), 9 p.m., Disney Channel. Most networks are ignoring that this is St. Patrick's Day, but here's an amiable exception. It's an enjoyable tale about a teen (Ryan Merriman) whose parents are quickly turning into leprechauns.
