UH to celebrate its centennial

The University of Hawai'i-Manoa turns 100 years old on Sunday, and the campus is celebrating with tea and music.
Charter Day, a fundraiser for the grants and scholarship programs operated by the Women's Campus Club, will feature high tea at the historic Hawai'i Hall. The Royal Hawaiian Band and the 'ukulele trio Ho'omaile will perform for guests.
The event runs from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $30.
The Women's Campus Club runs the UH thrift shop.
Legislation signed on March 25, 1906, established the College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, which eventually became the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.
