It's a morning egg-stravaganza at the Easter Sea Hunt, left, which takes place at the Waikiki Aquarium for children ages 2-7, with fishpond games, crafts, activities and visits with the Easter Bunny. The aquarium lawn and surrounding yard will be transformed into a wild hunt for eggs, and visitors can take in the exhibits, galleries and more.

Q: What do you get when you combine classic punk, Celtic folk and American rock 'n' roll? A: The fun-loving band Dropkick Murphys, whose repertoire includes upbeat stomper tracks such as "Sunshine Highway" to poignant narratives such as "The Last Letter Home" and classic odes "The Warrior's Code," which is dedicated to Massachusetts boxing legend Micky Ward.

The 12 best poets of the past year square off in a three-round elimination match to determine the 2007 HawaiiSlam Team, which will travel to Austin, Texas, to compete at the National Poetry Slam (often dubbed the super bowl of slam poetry).
HawaiiSlam's 4th anniversary bash also includes special guest Big Poppa E, national champion and three-time HBO Def Poet who has headlined more than 200 showcases. All proceeds will go toward the HawaiiSlam team's trip to Austin.

DANCE: APRIL 6-7
IONA Contemporary Dance Theatre restages "Electric Blue" before embarking on a six-show California tour. "Electric Blue," right, under the direction of IONA founder Cheryl Flaharty, explores science, mythology and environmental issues through modern dance, aerial acrobatics, live a cappella singing, and multimedia technology. The piece was previewed on O'ahu beaches and made its full debut at the Hawai'i Theatre in April. Advertiser reviewer Carol Egan wrote at the time: " 'Electric Blue' offers so many outstanding moments, including a magical finale, that it comes recommended to anyone who loves theater and dance."

Jamaican dancehall and ragga legend Shinehead will perform at NextDoor along with DJs SovernT and Jahson the 45 Revolver before jetting off to a gig in Hilo. Shinehead's career launched with his cover of Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean"; his best-known single was the cover of Sting's "Englishman In New York," titled "Jamaican In New York."

FAIRS & FESTIVALS: APRIL 20-21
The 'Iolani School Fair goes south of the border with "Fiesta Fever," featuring entertainment, food booths, games, Xtreme amusements, cooking demonstrations, silent auction, crafts, plants and more. The new Cafe Ole booth boasts fajitas, tamales, taco salads and burritos; and there'll be traditional favorites such as malasadas, Hawaiian food, Portuguese bean soup and huli beef sandwiches. There are movies, too, at 7:15 p.m. each day on the football field: "Employee of the Month" will be shown on the big screen April 20; "Happy Feet" April 21. Proceeds benefit student activities.

STAGE: APRIL 18-22
"Altar Boyz," right, the off-Broadway hit spoof about a fictitious Christian boy band, will be staged at Hawai'i Theatre. The show is the 2005 winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for best musical off-Broadway and is on a national tour. The Boyz — five ultra-talented heartthrobs from Ohio — are lead singer Matthew (the pretty-boy hunk and leader of the pack), Mark (a sensitive young man with a deep faith in Cher), Luke (a bad-boy with an "interest" in communion wine), Juan (a hot-blooded crooner with a passion for pretty girls) and Abraham (a nice Jewish boy!?).
