The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will hold a public presentation next week and take questions on its proposed expansion of the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge.
An open house, which will include opportunities for specific topic discussions, is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. May 16 at the Kilauea Elementary School cafeteria.
Copies of the plan for the refuge expansion are available on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Web site, http://pacific.fws.gov/planning, and at the Kilauea Farmers Market, at the Princeville public library and at refuge headquarters at the end of Kilauea Road.
