Ishii ties for third

Hawai'i's David Ishii tied for third at the PGA Handa Cup Philanthropy Senior Tournament last week in Ibaraki, Japan. It is his best finish of 2007.
Ishii, director of golf at Pearl Country Club, finished at 8-under 208, with rounds of 69-70-69.
Katsuyoshi Tomori closed with a 66 to win with a total of 12-under 202.
Ishii will play in the Komatsu Open on the Japan senior tour this week.
MIYAJIMA IN 10TH
Shayna Miyajima fell from second to 10th after a second-round 76 yesterday at the Venice LPGA Sectional Qualifying School in Florida. Miyajima, from Wailuku, is at even-par 144 and seven behind leader Na-Yeon Choi of South Korea. Choi has a three-shot lead over three others.
After two rounds, 73 players at 150 or better advanced to the final two rounds. Hilo's Leah Whiting (79-75—154) and Kailua's Bridget Keala Dwyer (80-78—158) missed the cut.
The top 30 players and ties after tomorrow's final round advance to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament next month.
