Residents can get rid of bulky items by dropping them off or calling for curb-side pickup at Kaimuki High School's Aloha 'Aina Earth Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at the school's parking lot.

Items that will be accepted include scrap metal, auto parts, bicycles, metal appliances, lawn mowers, pipes, beams, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, HI-5 bottles and cans, automobile tires (one load per household), green waste, car and boat batteries and household items that can be reused by Goodwill.
