All-stars Baron Davis and Kobe Bryant did their parts, but ultimately Troy Hudson and Vladimir Radmanovic were the stars last night.

Such is the preseason.

Hudson hit the game-winning jumper with 0.3 seconds remaining to give the Golden State Warriors a 111-110 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers last night in a NBA preseason game at the Stan Sheriff Center.

An announced crowd of 8,063 watched the game. The teams will play another preseason game tomorrow at the Sheriff Center.

"Everybody wants to win, preseason or not," Hudson said. "So it feels good to know that we can pull something out like that. My teammates were excited, so that made me feel good knowing they can count on me in a situation like that."

Radmanovic led the Lakers with 20 points, and helped lead a furious Los Angeles rally in the second half that set the stage for the dramatic final seconds.

"We were down the whole game, so I felt like somebody had to do something," Radmanovic said. "It just started falling for me, so I kept looking for my shot."

Golden State controlled the first three quarters of the game, including the first quarter — when most of the starters were on the court.

"How about that first unit? They played pretty well, didn't they?" Golden State head coach Don Nelson said of his starters. "I'm very pleased with the way we started the game. That was really the only quarter that was important to me."

The Warriors took control early, going on a 17-2 surge midway through the first quarter to take a 28-12 lead. Davis sparked the surge, scoring 11 of the 17 points, including 3-of-3 shooting from 3-point range.

By the end of the opening quarter, Golden State held a 41-20 lead.

Davis finished with 11 points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals. He did not play the final three quarters.

The other starters were Stephen Jackson, Al Harrington, Andris Biedrins and Kelenna Azubuike.

The only one to get extended playing time was Azubuike, and he responded with a game-high 27 points.

"I always feel like I have to prove something," said Azubuike, a 6-foot-5 guard. "It's the preseason and coach can change up anytime. I'm not going to get complacent."

Hudson, a 6-1 point guard, scored all 15 of his points in the second half while playing in Davis' spot.

Golden State led by as many as 24 points early in the third quarter before the Lakers rallied.

Bryant scored all 17 of his points in the final 6:10 of the third quarter to start the comeback.

Radmanovic, a 6-10 forward, hit three 3-pointers during a 21-2 run by the Lakers that tied the score at 99.

"The score is not that important," he said. "Even though it was close at the end, we did not play well tonight. They deserve to win, no matter what."

Javaris Crittenton, the Lakers' first-round draft pick, contributed 18 points.

The Lakers were without key players Kwame Brown, Lamar Odom and Luke Walton, who all sat out with injuries.
