A Japanese tradition says that if you blow out one of 100 candles after each ghost story, when all is dark you will see ghosts. From 7:30 to 11:30 tonight in the Kapi'olani Community College Cafeteria, Lopaka Kapanui (storyteller for Ghost Tours) and Jeff Gere (left, Talk Story Festival organizer, and born on Halloween), put this belief to a test, in an event that is not for kids: "100 Candles." Come to listen and to share scary tales. Sponsored by KCC Student Body; free. Information: 734-9576, http://osa.kcc.hawaii.edu.
