HONOR ROLL: Joe Moore's "Prophecy and Honor," a near sell-out at the Hawai'i Theatre last month, has netted $60,000 for the Pacific Aviation Museum, the beneficiary of the endeavor. It starred two Hollywood figures, Richard Dreyfuss and George Segal. Moore, the KHON-2 anchor who occasionally puts on his acting boots, said he has decided to release a DVD to further help the museum at Pearl Harbor. Video Designs taped the closing performance of the play about the court martial of Gen. Billy Mitchell), intending it as an archival document of the show. "But the quality was pretty good, so we've released a two-disc DVD version, on sale only at the Pacific Aviation Museum gift shop," Moore said. Cost is $29.95. ...

While in town preparing for Saturday's "Broadway Reflections" concert with resident singer Joy Abbott at the Hawai'i Theatre, Broadway star Davis Gaines joined Abbott at Manoa Valley Theatre's "The Musical of Musicals — the Musical" and told Guy Merola, also in attendance, that he would like to perform the fun show some day. There was, after all, a "Phantom" bit during the Andrew Lloyd Webber segment, and Gaines has more than 2,000 performances behind the mask. Merola is president of the Hawaii Performing Arts Foundation, which is trying to raise seed money to help Island actors get to Broadway. ...

Abbott and Gaines were a hit at a Perry and Price brunch show at John Dominis. But they were bumped from Andy Bumatai's "NightTime" taping — and that riled pianist Betty Loo Taylor, who skipped a club date to provide accompaniment. ...

SHOW BREEZES: "An Evening With 2007 Na Hoku Hanohano Artists," set for Sept. 29 at the Mission Memorial Auditorium on S. King St., will feature Kaukahi, Mahela, Pali, Ledward Ka'apana and Paula Fuga. She's performed with John Valentine in the "Power of Two" CD and has worked the Waikiki circuit — sans the ghoulish get-up. ...

Koa Siu, a Christian recording artist and son of Leon and Malia, got a nice pop on 9/11 when his tune, "Inside Out," was featured at ground zero in New York on the sixth anniversary of the terrorist attack. Firefighters heard it later in the evening. ...
