HAWAI'I MEDICAL ASSURANCE ASSOCIATION (HMAA)
Gail Mukaihata HannemanN, chief executive officer of Girl Scouts of Hawai'i and wife of Mayor Mufi Hannemann, has been elected to the board of directors of Hawai'i Medical Assurance Association, the small-business healthcare insurance provider. Before joining Girl Scouts in 2002, she was project director of the American Samoa Economic Advisory Commission, established by the U.S. secretary of the interior, to provide advice to the president on economic development of American Samoa.
LINTHICUM
Linthicum — which specializes in building highly designed commercial buildings, upscale golf clubhouses and high-end custom homes in Hawai'i, Arizona and California — has announced additions to its Hawai'i staff, including its part of continuing construction of the Kukui'ula project on Kaua'i.
The company's new vice president, Ralph KelseY, will oversee all company construction projects in Hawai'i. Previously director of field operations for Linthicum, he is a 39-year veteran of the construction industry and has been with Linthicum for 11 years.
Myron Lindsey has been hired as project manager. Lindsey, a 30-year veteran of the construction industry, has extensive experience building throughout Hawai'i.
Paullette Moorer, new controller, has been with Linthicum for 12 years and was previously project administrator serving on all projects, from commencement to closeout.
As contract administrator, Michael Price is responsible for negotiating project work and purchasing while assisting the project manager for the Kukui'ula Plantation Club Core.
GRANT THORNTON LLP
CPA Nicole Wyngaard has been promoted to senior manager at Grant Thornton LLP, an accounting, tax and business advisory organization. Wyngaard has more than eight years experience in consulting and advising small to midsize businesses in all facets of domestic tax planning and tax minimization.
CPA John B. Russell was promoted to senior manager at Grant Thornton, overseeing the company's advisory practice, which includes internal audits, project management and systems management accounts.
