Heavy showers possible today, tomorrow

A weather condition just west of Kaua'i has made the atmosphere moist and unstable and caused the winds to shift to the southeast, the National Weather Service said.
The weather is likely to be unsettled through Thursday night, during which time a flash flood watch will remain in effect.
Skies may be quite gray due to a combination of high clouds and haze from volcanic activity on the Big Island.
By Friday the winds are expected to shift back out of the east and the showers will be less likely as the atmosphere becomes more stable.
