Hawai'i coaches from all football levels are invited to attend the 2008 Hawai'i Warrior Football Coaching Clinic Saturday, April 19.
"We're really excited about it," UH head coach Greg McMackin said. "Everyone has been super to us. It's our way of starting a relationship with the coaches, and getting to know the coaches, and exchanging ideas."
The clinic is $10, and it includes lunch and post-practice pupu and refreshments.
"I've been around a lot of states, and the high school coaching here is the same as it is in Miami and Texas," McMackin said. "There are some great coaches who could be college coaches, and could coach anywhere that they want to, but they stayed in high school because they reached those players. ... I think Hawai'i coaches are second to none."
McMackin said he and his assistant coaches will discuss their strategies and coaching techniques.
"We will open our books to anyone in Hawai'i," McMackin said. "There are no secrets in football. The players are the secrets in football."
