TWEEN STORY, APRIL 18

"Bleachers in the Sun," by award-winning playwright Y York, takes a comedic and terrifying look at pressures confronting young adults. It premieres at 8 p.m. April 18 at The ARTS at Marks Garage. It's an adult play with adult themes; parents are welcome to accompany children age 10 and older.

HAWAI'I HISTORY, APRIL 26

The second annual Distinctive Women in Hawaiian History, presented by the Bishop Museum, offers illustrated lectures, chants, traditional Hawaiian storytelling, dramatic performances, clips from films. Register through April 18 (entry on space-available basis afterward).
