The Makapu'u Sand Band, a 1970s group led by Iaukea Bright that not has performed for 20 years, will reunite for a performance at a Na Ku'auhau 'o Kahiwakaneikopolei fundraiser from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Rumours at the Ala Moana Hotel.

The event, also featuring entertainment by Pueo Kane, will help raise funds for educational workshops and scholarships.

A koa Po Mahina guitar, valued at 3,000, will be featured in a raffle. Vacation Hawai'i certificates also will be available.

The event is open to those 21 and older.

Tickets: $10 advance, $15 at the door.
