A local freight carrier's Beech twin-engine aircraft made a successful emergency landing shortly after noon today at Honolulu Airport.
The pilot and co-pilot of the Kamaka Air cargo company plane were not injured. Company officials said the plane was headed to Moloka'i but returned to Honolulu.
State Department of Transportation spokesman Scott Ishikawa said the pilot reported problems with the plane's right landing gear. The pilot did a flyover and airport tower officials confirmed the gear was not down.
The pilot landed the aircraft with only the left landing gear deployed.
