Olomana Community Clean-up now underway
Olomana subdivision residents are cleaning, trimming and sprucing up their homes for the Great Olomana Community Clean-Up, which lasts until May 17.
The yearly promotion is a time to encourage everyone to remove rubbish from carports and yards and groom their lawns, said Earl Walker.
This year, youths and trucks from the Hawai'i Youth Correction Facility will help neighbors haul away junk and rubbish.
"Over the years, the promotion has truly had an impact making the Olomana Community one of Windward O'ahu's most beautiful and clean neighborhoods," Walker said.
The subdivision of 335 homes is located opposite Castle Medical Center at the foot of Olomana peak.
