Hanauma Bay lectures continue with 3 events
The Hanauma Bay Education Program continues its free summer lecture series in August with these presentations:
Thursday: "Marine Viruses — Are They Threats to You?" by Grieg Steward, an assistant professor on the University of Hawai'i oceanography faculty.
Aug. 21: "The Little Things Matter: Microbes and Global Climate Change" by Matt Church, a member of the graduate faculty at the University of Hawai'i's Oceanography Department.
Aug. 28: "Examining the Relationship between Corals and Microbes" by Mike Rappe, an assistant researcher and member of the graduate faculty in the UH Microbiology and Oceanography departments.
Lectures start at 6:30 p.m. at the Hanauma Bay theater. Parking and admission to the park are free after 5:30 p.m.
