Marines will practice howitzer salutes today
Kailua and Kane'ohe residents can expect loud cannon-like noises from Marine Corps Base Hawai'i as it practices a howitzer salute today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Landing Zone West Field on the Kane'ohe base.
The Marines will fire four M102 105mm howitzers to practice for the change of command ceremony next week for Lt. Gen. John F. Goodman, Commanding General, U.S. Marine Crops Forces, Pacific.
