Brazilian classical guitarist Carlos Barbosa-Lima, who plays venues such as Carnegie Hall, will work his magic with just six strings and 10 fingers at a concert tonight at the Honolulu Academy of Arts' Doris Duke Theatre.

Barbosa-Lima's repertoire runs from samba and ragtime pieces to bossa nova and even a touch of Hawaiian music. Special guest is Byron Yasui.

Admission to the 7 p.m. concert is $25; $20 for academy members.
