BEIJING BOUND

FOURTH-GRADER GETS PEEK AT OLYMPICS

Kamaile Aluli, 9, a fourth-grader from La'ie Elementary School, will have lots of Olympic tales to tell her classmates. The Hau'ula youth was selected as one of two McDonald's Champion Kids representing the United States in Beijing at the Olympic Games along with 200 youths from around the world. Kamaile and her mother left yesterday and will stay through the duration of the Olympics. Kamaile was selected through the McDonald's-sponsored Junior Olympic Skills Competition; she submitted an essay on the qualities that make someone a champion.

FINAL WORD

"It's awesome to be a guy in this industry. The hardest thing you have to think about is what kind of collar is on your tux."
