Boys set off homemade explosive at Waipahu school

Three boys set off a homemade explosive this morning at a Waipahu school in an area where other students were making their way to class, police said.
The boys, ages, 12, 13,14 were identified by school officials and handed over to police after this morning 7:40 a.m. incident. The boys were arrested for investigation of reckless endangerment in the first degree and for possession of a prohibited weapon. They were released pending further investigation,police said.
